The Tracy Trust - What's in a name? Why the Tracy Trust? That’s down to the thoughtful resident of Hedgerley, Edith Ada Tracy in whose name our most unique charity was founded.
It was started in March 1990 by John White in memory of his friend Edith, who left instructions and a substantial amount in her will for a charity to be set up in perpetuity in her and her husband's name. John added to the original sum when he sold a piece of local land left to him by Edith. The charity’s aims are to “relieve the senior citizens and pensioners in need who are resident in the Parish of Hedgerley, Buckinghamshire” and now, in 2024, the charity continues with its services and activities to the benefit of the older community in our village.
