Dear Tracy Trust Members
CHRISTMAS TEA PARTY
We are very much looking forward to seeing you at our Christmas Party on
Friday 15th December from 2 p.m. to 4.30 p.m.
There will, of course, be a delicious Ann Tennant tea served around a pantomime performance of Jack and The Beanstalk. No Tracy Trust Christmas Party would be complete without some singing, so Louise from our ‘Singing for Fun’ classes has offered to entertain us with some Christmas favourites. Come in good voice so that you can join in the fun! Let’s hope that Father Christmas will drop in to see us too!
PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORM ATTACHED TO THIS LETTER TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE, YOUR DIETARY NEEDS AND, IF REQUIRED, YOUR REQUEST FOR A LIFT.
The Tracy Centre: Over the Christmas period, the Monday and Wednesday morning coffee / bowls / dominoes sessions will stop from MONDAY 18th December and will reopen on WEDNESDAY 3rd January 2024.
SCHEDULES for the Exercise and Singing Classes during the Spring Term can be found overleaf, as well as the Bus Timetable for the coming months.

Christmas Newsletter 2022
Dear Tracy Trust Members
CHRISTMAS TEA PARTY:
We are very much looking forward to seeing you at our Christmas Party which we are able to hold again this year.
The date is Friday 16th December from 2 p.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Sue Gehnich will speak to us in her capacity as Welfare Rights Officer at AGE UK Bucks. There will be an opportunity to ask questions so please raise with her, either publicly or privately, anything you are interested in or worried about. This session will be followed by a delicious Ann Tennant tea.
No Tracy Trust Christmas Party would be complete without some singing, so Louise from our ‘Singing for Fun’ classes has offered to entertain us with some Christmas favourites. Come in good voice so that you can join in the fun! Let’s hope that Father Christmas will drop in to see us too!
PLEASE COMPLETE THE FORM ATTACHED TO THE NEWSLETTER TO CONFIRM YOUR ATTENDANCE,
YOUR DIETARY NEEDS AND, IF REQUIRED, YOUR REQUEST FOR A LIFT.
The Tracy Centre:
Over the Christmas period, the Monday and Wednesday morning coffee / bowls / dominoes sessions will stop
after Wednesday 21st December until WEDNESDAY 4th January 2023.
FILM EVENT:
The film and afternoon tea we held in the Memorial Hall proved to be a great success. The film was deemed eminently watchable and the tea and cakes in the interval were delicious. If you were there, please tell other members about it as another such afternoon will take place in February, date and film choice to be announced nearer the time.
SCHEDULES for the Exercise and Singing Classes during the Spring Term can be found under the relevant headings, as well as the Bus Timetable for the coming months.
HEDGERLEY HISTORICAL SOCIETY OUTING:
You may remember that we teamed up with the Hedgerley Historical Society to offer half price tickets to an outing they arranged in Summer 2022. Well, it’s happening again, this time with a trip a little further afield. HHS is going to Stratford-upon-Avon on August 9th 2023, starting in Hedgerley at 9 a.m. and returning at 6 p.m. The journey each way is approximately 80 / 90 minutes. There will be a good six hours to enjoy at the destination. John Lovelock of HHS writes:
“Every visit to Stratford would not be complete without finding out more about the English poet and playwright that makes it famous. Shakespeare's Birthplace allows you to visit the house where the world’s most famous playwright was born and grew up to discover more about his early years. Other Shakespeare locations include Hall's Croft (home to William's daughter), Shakespeare's New Place (the last chapter in his life), Anne Hathaway's Cottage (Shakespeare's wife) and Mary Arden's Farm (the childhood home of Shakespeare's mother). There are regular public 45-minute boat trips on the River Avon, sightseeing bus trips and town and river walks. For shopping there are many high-quality independent shops plus plenty of places to eat and drink or you may wish to take a picnic and enjoy watching the river and canal craft from Bancroft Gardens”
Tickets cost £25 but the cost will be £12.50 to the first ten of our members to sign up. Please contact John Lovelock by
email: jdlovelock@btinternet.com or our Secretary, Helena, if you are interested.
CHRISTMAS VOUCHER:
The Tracy Trust Christmas vouchers are attached to this letter. Please find £25 in the form of two vouchers as requested by members last year, some of whom found the single larger voucher difficult to spend in one go. They are redeemable at our village shop Spar by 31st January 2023.
If for any reason you do not wish to use your voucher but would like others to benefit, please strike it through and write ‘NOT USED’ and then return to the shop or to our Secretary.
All of us at The Tracy Trust wish you a most Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.
