Easter Newsletter 2021

Picture
Dear Tracy Trust Members

We hope you enjoyed your Valentine’s Day surprise and are ready for your Easter one! Together with this newsletter comes a chocolate Easter gift, brought to sweeten your Easter days, with good wishes from all
at the Tracy Trust.

This is our Easter newsletter to you but in all honesty, it does not have much ‘news’ to impart. We have all
been living in a most unusual Covid bubble, but with the roll out of the vaccine and the gradual relaxing
of restrictions, things are beginning to look brighter. It will not be too long before we can resume the fortnightly bus, start up the Wednesday exercise classes again and open up the Scout Hut for Monday
and Wednesday coffee and chat, bowls and games.

Tracy Trust personnel remain on hand to help with anything they can. Phone numbers of those who
can help (or who will find someone who can) are:
Gail Hurst (Trustee): 643590                                  Helena Makowski (Secretary): 643663
Vanessa Pilgerstorfer (Trustee): 646883
Likewise, members of the Committee are always there for you too.

Whether we shall be able to host a Summer Tea Party remains uncertain. For all information please check
our noticeboard near the Spar shop or our website (www.thetracytrust.co.uk) where the latest news
will be posted.
The Trustees and the Local Committee of the Tracy Trust wish you continued good health and  send
you their warm wishes for a very Happy Easter.

CHRISTMAS TEA PARTY
It will probably come as no surprise to you that we are unable to hold our Christmas Tea Party this year
due to the pandemic. We are sorry about this but loo k forward to a bigger and better party next year!

TRACY TRUST NOTICE BOARD
Please do keep an eye on our board situated between the Spar and Opal shops. It is one way in which
we can communicate with you. If you are computer savvy, you can always look at our website:
www.thetracytrust.co.uk

BUS SCHEDULE
Once again we had to suspend our fortnightly bus in November in line with Government regulations
during the second lockdown. With the lifting of the four weeks’ restrictions, we shall be running the
December schedule as planned:

Dec. 4th: High Wycombe;   Dec. 11th: Smith’s Garden Centre, Uxbridge;   Dec. 18th: Uxbridge

Pick up is from outside Spar in Hedgerley at 10.30a.m. as usual. The Spring Bus Schedule will be
organised once Government regulations are made known; it will be published on the website
and on the Tracy Trust notice board.

SPRING EXERCISE CLASSES
We know how much regulars to the classes have missed their weekly chance to exercise. The classes will resume just as soon as it is safe to do so.

CHRISTMAS GIFT & VOUCHER
In recognition that this Christmas may well be a little harder than most, and wishing to spoil our members in the absence of a Christmas party, we are increasing the value of the Christmas voucher to £25 per person this year. Please find it attached to this letter; as usual it is redeemable at Spar, our village shop.
We are also including a little gift inside this envelope which we hope will be of use. Both voucher and gift come with many good wishes from the Trustees for a very

Happy Christmas and a healthy New Year.

Dear Tracy Trust Members

We hope you like the cheery Easter bunny picture above; it is there to lift your spirits at a time when life is particularly difficult. We are living in uncertain times at the moment with the presence of the Coronavirus. Please follow advice given by the government and Public Health England and take the recommended measures to safeguard yourselves.

The Tracy Trust is here to help you in any way it can. Our wonderful village shop Spar is happy to gather together any groceries you require (subject to availability) and have them delivered to you by one of a number of willing volunteers. Please give Minesh a ring on 643086.

The Tracy Trust knows that the current situation will bring increasing isolation to some of you. We want to help with that too. If you have any particular concerns, or just wish to have a regular chat to someone, please phone one of the following people, who will endeavour to help with your problem or to find you a befriender:
Gail Hurst (Trustee): 643590;                                 Helena Makowski (Secretary): 643663;
Vanessa Pilgerstorfer (Trustee): 646883
Unfortunately our regular events at the Scout Hut, the Friday bus trips and the exercise classes have all been suspended until further notice. It is doubtful too if the chiropodists will continue.

We have continued to arrange events for you but are sure that you will understand that things are on hold at the moment. We had planned a new film afternoon in conjunction with the Hedgerley Memorial Hall team for the end of April, which we know you would have enjoyed. If you do like watching films, why don’t you give Maddy Bushnell a call on 642760; she has a huge film library and would be happy to arrange the free loan of a film that you would like.

The Summer Tea Party is booked for Wednesday 15th July but we shall need to see how the situation pans out in the future before we can confirm this event. Please check our noticeboard near the Spar shop or consult our website (www.thetracytrust.co.uk) where the latest news will be posted.

You may have read in the Hedgerley Village Magazine that membership of our dedicated Committee has grown. We now have seven committee members working hard for you all:
Janet Mace, Rita Maycock, Barbara McNeillie, Maurice Ridgley, and more recently: Margaret Chaplin, Dirk Eachus and Barbi Watson. These special people give time and energy to keep the Tracy Trust running smoothly; they too will be happy to help you or to refer you on to someone who can.
The Trustees and the Local Committee of the Tracy Trust want you to keep safe and well; they send you good wishes for a Happy Easter too.
