Summary of Benefits and Assistance
These are the services which are available to all Members of the Tracy Trust:
The Tracy Centre is in the Scout Hut. It is open Monday and Wednesday mornings from 10 a.m. to 12 noon.
Why not call in for some free refreshments, a chat with friends, a game of dominoes or darts? Short mat bowls are played on most Monday mornings.
A gentle exercise class is available at 11 a.m. on Wednesdays in the Anstey Lodge.
A ‘Singing for Fun’ class is available at 10.30 a.m. on Thursdays in the Anstey Lodge.
The classes take place in term time only.
Dates are available on our website, noticeboard and in the Hedgerley Village magazine.
There is a fortnightly Friday morning shopping bus service, which alternates between Uxbridge and High Wycombe. Additional buses to garden centres are arranged from time to time. We use a 16-seater coach which operates on a first come, first served basis. The bus timetable can be found on our website, noticeboard and in the Tracy Centre.
Tea parties are usually arranged twice a year, at Christmas and during the summer. Other events are organised to celebrate special occasions.
The Tracy Trust provides the following services on request:
Transportation to local hospitals, clinics, doctors’ or dentists’ surgeries. Requests should be made to Gail Hurst by phone on 643590. We are always happy to help but would ask that family members / friends are the first port of call.
A Contribution towards the cost of routine chiropody is available. Please see our website or phone Rita Maycock on 642013 for details.
Applications for Financial Assistance
When requesting assistance from the Tracy Trust, it is important that you follow the application guidelines. Use the Tracy Trust ‘Application for Financial Assistance’ form, which can be found on our website or from the Secretary or Treasurer. Please remember to include the important letters and invoices we require. Before you apply, please explore all other avenues of assistance; for example, if you are or your partner is receiving state benefits, dental and optical fees may be recoverable from the Department of Health.
Please remember we are a charity and as such we cannot always meet every request, but we will endeavour to help where we can.
Contribution towards the cost of dental and optical care
Dental: Requests for assistance towards dental care must be submitted to the Treasurer and be supported by a Dentist’s letter confirming urgency of need, together with the appropriate invoice, which will then be considered.
Optical: The Trust will consider a contribution toward the cost of lenses only. An optician’s invoice must clearly show the reason for the lenses i.e. change of prescription and/or the special need for the particular lenses. The invoice must show the cost of the lenses separately.
Part-payment of the TV Licence
This will be considered for a member who is either living alone or with another Tracy Trust member. Payment will not be considered if children or other adults of under 60 years of age are living with you.
The Licence together with the form requesting financial assistance should be sent to the Treasurer after you have paid for your Licence. Your Licence will be returned and part-payment made to you if approved.
PPP Aid Call Telephone Alarm System
This is available for members who have a medical need. The Application for Aid Call form is available on the website or from the Secretary; once completed and submitted to the Treasurer, it will be considered for approval.
Other financial requests will be considered by the Trustees according to the rules of the charity.
If you have queries about any aspect of the Trust, please contact the Secretary, the Treasurer, the Trustees or a member of the Tracy Trust Committee.
